	Company History InteMedica is based on the medical research conducted by its Chief Medical Officer, W. John Diamond, M.D. Dr. Diamond is a Western trained physician with advanced degrees in Biochemistry, Chinese herbology, acupuncture and homeopathy. As an expert in these fields, Dr. Diamond has a different perspective to medicine as virtually no physicians have experience in these CAM modalities combined with a conventional medical degree. Further, as a former pathologist, Dr. Diamond has an in-depth knowledge and understanding of disease. Using this knowledge and experience, Dr. Diamond reviewed and analyzed over seventeen years of clinical data from 100,000 patient visits and has developed a new way of thinking about CAM formulas: It is optimal to combine homeopathic remedies, Chinese herbs and supportive nutritional products to achieve a more reliable and predictable result, rather than to use them alone. InteMedica strongly believes that conventional medicine has an important place in modern healthcare, but in order to treat the root cause of disease as opposed to the symptoms that are presented, it is necessary to use both conventional medicine and CAM to maximize health outcomes. The concept of InteMedica was born out of the need to bring this innovative approach to medicine to the mainstream.
